Robert Perera graduated from Cambridge University, England and after working for a leading investment bank set up Robert Perera Fine Art in the south coast Georgian town of Lymington over twenty years ago. He specialises in 19th & 20th century paintings, etchings, lithographs and linocuts.
The Perera family have had a long history in the fine art business including owning the New Forest Gallery and organising national exhibitions including Adolphe Valette (L.S.Lowry's teacher) in Manchester City Art Galley and Martin Snape in Portsmouth City Art Gallery.
We are truly a family business with many family members actively involved in the gallery with over a hundred years experience between them.
In 2011 Robert Perera (above) exhibited W.L.Wyllie etchings to invited guests of the Royal Navy after a dinner on HMS Victory during a W.L.Wyllie weekend in Portsmouth dockyard.
Robert has appeared on the BBC's antique program "Flog-It!" and has also been asked to appear on ITV's antique programme as a specialist picture dealer.
The gallery has recently been asked to lend paintings for Television and a London marine exhibition which is expected to be opened by Her Majesty the Queen.
We advise museums, galleries, auction houses, companies, solicitors and registered charities on selling paintings and assets. Recently we have valued works for a European government department. Robert has also been asked to lecture at Cambridge University on the fine art business.
From our gallery in Lymington we source paintings and prints from the UK and worldwide for our extensive client list and our own gallery stock.

Thank you Robert. All very professional and seamless - much appreciated.
I and the charity are very grateful to you for your advice and courtesy.
We received the painting early last week. All went well and it was nicely packed so arrived in good condition. It hangs in a prominent place in our living room and will continue to remind us of a wonderful visit to New Forest, which we loved and hope to visit again. Thank you so much for your good service, and hope to visit your shop again some day!
