BBC Flog-It! from Portsmouth
In 2004 Robert Perera Fine Art was asked by the BBC's Flog-it antique program to talk about their extensive collection of W.L.Wyllie R.A. paintings and etchings. The program, based in Portsmouth, visited Robert Perera Fine Art in Lymington to learn a little more about the work of this talented marine artist. Robert Perera accompanied the BBC's Paul Martin to the Historic Dock Yard in Portsmouth to visit "The Panorama of the Battle of Trafalgar" painted by Wyllie in 1930. This 42ft x 12ft panorama is said to be his greatest work. Tower House, Wyllie's home in Portsmouth was visited in order to compare the seascapes in Wyllie's etchings with the modern view from the Round Tower. Robert Perera Fine Art Ltd. |
