William Walcot R.E. b.1874

William Walcot was a painter in watercolour, pencil artist and etcher of architectural views. Walcot was born in Russia in 1874 and studied in Paris and the Imperial Academy of Art, Petrograd. When he arrived in England he was sent to Italy by the Fine Art Society to paint. He visited the U.S.A. where he painted and produced numerous etchings. Subjects include : London, New York, Venice Rome and Egypt.
