Anne Redpath OBE was a Scottish artist who mainly painted and printed powerful still lifes.
She attended Edinburgh College of Art in 1913 and during post-graduate studies in 1919 travelled to Bruges, Paris, Florence and Siena.
Anne Redpath married and moved t0 Pas-de-Calais 1920. In 1924 she moved to the South of France but returned to Hawick in 1934, where her family moved when she was six.
She was the president of the Scottish Society of Women Artists from 1944-1947. In 1952 she became a member of the Royal Scottish Academy.
In 1955 she was made an OBE for her work as "Artist" and "Member of the Board of Management of the Edinburgh College of Art".
During the 1950's and eary 1960's she travelled and painted in Europe.
