“Ships from Sketch book” by Arthur Briscoe RE (1873-1943) Original Watercolour

Arthur Briscoe was a painter in oil and watercolour and etcher of marine subjects. He was born in Birkenhead on 25th February 1873. Educated at Shrewsbury School. He studied art at the Slade under Fred Brown and at Julian’s in Paris and then spent his time sailing.

Arthur Briscoe was elected : A.R.E. 1930, R.E. 1933. R.I. 1935.
